Freeze Frame

View > Extensions > Vegasaur > Effects > Freeze Frame

A freeze frame shot is used to make an interesting illusion of a still photograph, when one shot is printed in a single frame several times. This effect can be used, for example, to stop the dynamic scene and focus the audience attention upon a particular fragment.

The Freeze Frame tool allows the desired frame to be "frozen" using a velocity envelope, without cutting events into individual pieces or using snapshots. Before running the tool, select an event for processing and place the timeline cursor at the desired frame.

You can specify the duration of the effect. Optionally, you can create a timeline selection, which will be used as an effect's length. Furthermore, you can split the event at the cursor position. This can be useful when additional effects, such as Photo Snapshot, will be applied.
